Heidi Scheopner
Texas A & M-Kingsville
Inducted into Who's Who
Nov. 12, 2006
Heidi is a junior at Texas A&M-Kingsville, Kingsville, TX (formerly Texas A&I) and is on full athletic scholarship.   She is majoring in kinesiology with a minor in math. Her career plans are to teach high school math and coach.  She is doing her student teaching this semester in the Calallen School District.
 
She is captain of the volleyball team and is a three year letter winner.   She has been named to the Lone Star Conference All Conference Team two years in a row, the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll for Academic Excellence, Dean's List, National Honor Roll and National Dean's List all three years.    She has been a member of TAMUK's Student Athletic Advisory Committee two years and is currently serving as secretary.   This past spring she traveled to Purdue University along with a fellow student-athletes and the athletic director to work with Habitat for Humanity.  She's also an active member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
 
Who's Who candidates are nominated by faculty and administration and their selection is based on academic performance, extra-curricular and community involvement and campus leadership.    Those selected to be included in Who's Who represent the top one percent of juniors and seniors.
